EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 301 of the Clean Water Act to Creed Operating Company, LLC (Creed Operating), located in Coleman County, Luling, Texas. The AO was issued in response to violations of an unauthorized discharge of oil field brine and producted wastewater to a water of the U.S. The AO orders Creed Operating to: 1) immediately cease and desist all unauthorized discharges of pollutants from the facility; and 2) remove brine from the discharge flow path and the tributary of Jim Ned Creek. Creed Operating must respond to EPA within thirty (30) days of receipt of the AO.
