On September 9, 2013, EPA Region 6 issued a Fianl Administrative Order (Final Order)under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to HKH Operating, L.L.C. (HKH) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Final Order was issued in response to the following violation: failure to plug an injection well within one year after termination of injection operations. The Final Order requires HKH to either plug the well or to submit a viable plan for future use of the well to the EPA. HKH must respond to the Final Order within 30 days.
