On January 6, 2014, Region 1 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) resolving an administrative penalty case against Presstek, Inc. (Presstek), a Delaware corporation. The CAFO requires Presstek to pay a $116,000 penalty to resolve numerous past violations of the hazardous waste management requirements of RCRA. The settlement will encourage regulatory compliance and help to ensure that hazardous wastes are not managed a manner that poses unreasonable risk to human health or the environment.
