Past Operations and Contamination
The GMPT Â Livonia facility encompasses approximately 40 acres. The facility contained extensive machining operations, and is approximately 1.225 million-square feet. Buildings include an engine plant, warehouse, and a wastewater treatment plant. The original Plant was built in 1971 and operated as Livonia Machining, which encompassed approximately 20 percent of the existing floor space. In 1984, there was a large expansion for engine work and a new warehouse. Operations ceased at the facility in 2009, and all equipment was removed.
