## Summary

On July 24, 2013, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order against Waste Management of Washington, Inc. settling violations of the Clean Water Act. Respondent, which operates a waste disposal and transfer facility, discharged pollutants to waters of the U.S. without a permit and failed to monitor its discharges.  Specifically, on January 13, 2009, October 10, 2010, and November 16 and 17, 2011 Respondent discharged truck wash water to a nearby storm drain, which is not authorized by the Washington Industrial Stormwater General Permit (“2010 Stormwater GP”).  Also, Respondent failed to sample storm drains that regularly receive stormwater from the Facility, in violation of the 2010 Stormwater GP.  The company agreed to pay a penalty of $33,570.
