On September 18, 2013, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1423 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to Chaparral Energy, LLC (Repondent) located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The AC was issued in response to violations of: (1) operating two injection wells without mechanical integrity; and
(2) operating two injection wells without authorization to inject. The CAFO requires Respondent to pay a monetary penalty of twenty five thousand dollars ($25,000). Respondent must pay its penalty within 60 days. For more information, see documents, below.
