EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order under its authority pursuant to Sections 308 and 309(a) of the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. § 1318 and §1319(a) to the City of Farmington, located in Farmington, NM. The Administrative Order was issued in response to violations of 30 day average permit limitations exceedances of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). The Administrative Order requires the City of Farmington to conduct TDS reduction projects for veriying commerial industries originally proposed by the CIty of Farmington.
