On September 12, 2013, EPA Region 10 reached a settlement with JBER for violations of RCRA Subtitle C requirements, including failure to conduct weekly inspections of containers for signs of leakage and/or deterioration, failure of several facility personnel to participate in an annual review of training, failure to submit an exception report, and failure to conduct weekly general inspections of the Hazardous Waste Management Facility, as required by JBER's Subtitle C permit. The assessed penalty is $21,245.
