On June 26, 2013, EPA entered into an Administrative Agreement on Consent (AOC) with the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Pursuant to the AOC, the City will implement a time-critical removal action on City-owned property that abuts the Sikorsky Airport in Stratford, Connecticut. The property is part of the Raymark Industries, Inc. Superfund National Priorities List site. The CityÂs work is part of a FAA runway safety zone extension project at the Airport. The work will include excavating, treating, and off-site disposal of approximately 10,000 yards of waste that originated from the former Raymark Industries plant. EPAÂs Removal Program will provide oversight of the CityÂs work, and the City will reimburse EPA for such oversight.
