The Settlement Agreement concerns the preparation and performance of supplemental sampling to obtain additional data to evaluate the selected remedy for the Chequamegon Bay sediment portion of the Ashland Lakefront Superfund Site located at Ashland, Wisconsin, and the reimbursement for future response costs incurred by EPA in connection with the
Offshore Sampling. The Work conducted under this Settlement Agreement is subject to approval by EPA, in consultation with WDNR, and is anticipated to provide appropriate and necessary information to assess conditions within the Offshore Sampling Project Area and the dry excavation portion of the sediment remedy selected in the ROD.
