This case addresses alleged violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) by Geason Enterprises, L.L.C., (d/b/a Geason Powersports and d/b/a Hammerhead), GE Ventures, L.P., (d/b/a Hammerhead Off-Road), Hammerhead Off-Road, Inc., and TJ Power Sports L.L.C. (collectively Hammerhead ), four related Texas companies entities formed in Texas that import and sell recreational vehicles manufactured by Shanghai Howhit Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd., a Chinese company.
Hammerhead imported 5,960 recreational vehicles that were not covered by an EPA certificate of conformity.
Under the agreement Hammerhead will collectively pay a penalty of $560,000.
