On September 24, 2013, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) resolving claims under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) against Burlington Environmental, LLC. Burlington Environmental stored PCB-contaminated transformers and PCB-containing ballasts from for more than 1 year from the date these items were determined to be PCB waste. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $2,400.
