EPA conducted an inspection at the Respondent's facility on March 5, 2013 in response to a citizen Tip/Complaint regarding the dumping of process chemicals via buried piping into parking lot storm drains. The inspection revealed the Respondents did not inventory any of the twelve storm water drainage wells and/or drywells (UIC Wells); there was an apparent spill of an unknown substance into two UIC Wells; and that one UIC Well had a pipe used to discharge re-circulated process water (cooling water from cooling baths) from the closed loop cooling system in the event of a clog in the system. Opportunity to Request a Hearing? on August 23, 2013 and an Amended Complaint on March 31, 2014 to revised Respondents formerly known as Amco Polymers, LLC and Ravago Manufacturing Americas, LLC. The civil penalty to settle the action is $10,000.00.
