On May 30, 2013, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 301 of the Clean Water Act to Warrior Resources, Inc. (Respondent), located in Bastrop County, Texas. The AO was issued in response to an unauthorized discharge of produced wastewater to a water of the U.S. The AO requires Respondent to cease all discharges of produced water from their facility. The AO allows that, if Respondent is eligible for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) coverage and they submit a permit application, the AO may be revised. Respondent must respond to EPA within seventy-five days of receipt of the AO. .
