On May 1, 2013, EPA issued a Notice of Intent to file a complaint for civil penalties of $177,500 to Aux Sable for 143 effluent violations of Aux Sable’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit issued by the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for Aux Sable’s facility in Morris, Illinois.  In the notice, we also offer Aux Sable the opportunity to resolve this matter in a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO).
