Region 1 settled an administrative penalty action against JCI Jones Chemicals, Inc. (JCI) for alleged violations of Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act and Section 103(a) of CERCLA at its facility in Merrimack, New Hampshire.  Among other things, JCI manufactures sodium hypochlorite solution (commercial grade bleach) and sodium bisulfite solution and re-packages chlorine and sulfur dioxide.
