On May 14, 2014, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order to settle violations found during an inspection at Cascade Plating & Machine, Inc. in Eugene, Oregon. The violations involved mismanagement of chrome plating waste in a tank and containers, and mismanagement of waste fluorescent lamps. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $20,400 and to take steps to assure proper management of waste in the future.
