On July 23, 2014, Region 10 filed an Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) � Soldotna to address Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) violations at its facility in Soldotna, Alaska. The violations involved the mismanagement of hazardous waste highway paint and the mismanagement of used oil. Under the terms of the agreement, Alaska DOT&PF agreed to pay a penalty of $117,974 and take steps to ensure proper management of waste in the future.
