EPA issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) addressing violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) to Hitchcock Scrap Yard (Hitchcock), located in Canton, Illinois. In the CAFO, Hitchcock will pay a civil penalty of $14,871. Hitchcock concurrently entered into an Administrative Consent Order (ACO) with the EPA which will bring the facility into compliance with the regulations at issue. Together, these agreements will resolve violations of CAA regulations for the reduction of emissions of ozone-depleting substances alleged in a May 9, 2013, Finding of Violation.
