On July 30, 2014, Region 10 issued a compliance order on consent addressing violations of the Clean Water Act by Master Precaster, Inc. and Northwest Precast, LLC (Respondents). Respondents manufacture precast concrete products and discharged pollutants to waters of the U.S. in violation of the Washington State NPDES Industrial Stormwater General Permit. Violations include failures to sample, conduct self inspections, implement the stormwater pollution prevention plan and implement a required best management practice. The compliance order requires the Respondents to provide training and ensure the treatment unit already in place is operating properly.
