On April 17, 2014, Region 9 finalized a Consent Agreement and Final Order with Molycorp
Minerals LLC for RCRA violations at its facility in Mountain Pass, CA. The Respondent will
pay a penalty of $27,300 for alleged violations under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. EPA inspected the facility as part of the National Mining and Mineral Processing Initiative on October 10 and 11, 2012.
