On April 30, 2014, Region 10 settled with Tractor Supply Company for violations of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). In 2011 and 2012, the company failed to file inventory reports for propane. EPCRA Section 312 requires companies to report more than 10,000 pounds of on-site chemicals; the company stored between 12,000 pounds and 36,500 pounds of the chemical at five facilities without reporting to the state and local agencies or the local fire departments. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $134,400.
