On July 1, 2014, Region I filed an administrative complaint against Norampac New England, Inc. (Norampac) for Clean Water Act violations at its corrugated cardboard manufacturing facility in Thompson, CT. The company discharged process water without proper authorization, failed to comply with the terms and conditions of the Connecticut General Permit for the Discharge of Stormwater associated with Industrial activity and failed to fully implement a Spill Preventiion Control and Countermeasure.
