On September 16, 2014, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the CWA by U.S. Silver  Idaho, Inc. in Wallace, Idaho. EPA alleged that U.S. SilverÂs silver, copper, and lead mine discharged pollutants to waters of the United States without a permit or authorization under NPDES and exceeded its NPDES permit limits for copper and lead. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $75,000.
