On April 30, 2014, EPA conducted an inspection of the City's sanitary sewer system and identified documented instances where sanitary sewer system overflows resulted in discharges of sanitary sewage to waterbodies of the United States via the MS4 and direct flows. The City owns and operates separate sanitary and storm sewers in Peekskill, NY. An Administrative Order is being issued to order the City to submit a project schedule to eliminate unpermitted discharges of sanitary sewage. Costs and pollutant reductions associated with implementation of these projects have not been included as the scope of the projects are not known at this time.
