On July 28, 2014, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Sections 308 and 309 ofthe Clean Water Act to the Village of Chama (Respondent) located in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. The AO was issued in response to violations of Respondent's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit. The AO requires the Respondent to address the permit effluent limit violations. The Respondent must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty days.
