This case addresses violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) by Generac Power Systems, Inc., ( Generac ), a manufacturer of portable generators in Waukesha, Wisconsin. On June 30, 2009, Generac imported 560 uncertified engines into the Port of Chicago.
As part of the settlement with EPA, Generac paid a $20,000 civil penalty. Prior to EPA's enforcement action, Generac had already exported the uncertified engines to China.
