On September 30, 2014, EPA Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order to settle violations of the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule, 40 C.F.R. Part 745, Subpart E. The EPA alleged that College Works Painting d.b.a. Student Works Painting, Inc. did not comply with the RRP requirements by failing to follow lead-safe work practices and did not establish and maintain records for active renovation work on pre-1978 residential properties as required by the RRP. The College Works Painting will pay a penalty of $39,532.
