On September 11, 2014, a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) was entered into with Maverick Tube Corporation & Hydril Company; the parent companies for three Tenaris and Maverick facilities in Houston, Texas, for violations of the requirements of RCRA. All three facilities have systemic issues with waste characterization, pre-transport and storage, identification, and waste counting violations resulting in incorrect reporting of generator status. The CAFO requires a return to compliance and the payment of a $54,925 penalty.
