On September 23, 2014, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order to settle violations of TSCA and the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act by Mr. Babubhai (Bob) Patel of Portland, Oregon. EPA alleged that Mr. Patel failed to give the required disclosures regarding lead paint hazards when leasing residential properties in the Portland area. Mr. Patel agreed to pay a penalty of $5,000.
