On January 27, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the CWA by Silver Bay Seafoods, LLC in Sitka, Alaska. EPA alleges Silver Bay Seafoods, LLC is in violation of its Alaskan Pollutant Discharge Elimination System ( APDES ) General Permit for Storm Water Discharges from Construction Activities, authorized under Section 402 of the CWA. Violations include failing to apply for an applicable NPDES permit. The company agreed to pay a $4,000 penalty.
