On February 13, 2015, Region 10 issued an administrative order on consent with Aurora Communications International Inc. to address Clean Water Act violations near Ninilchik, Alaska. Respondent violated the CWA Section 404 by discharging an unspecified quantity of dredged and/or fill material into approximately 0.55 acres of wetlands for the construction of a gravel access road and a foundation pad for the installation of a shortwave radio antenna tower without a Department of the Army CWA Section 404 permit. The consent order requires Respondent to submit a restoration and mitigation task plan to EPA for review and approval. Respondent is required to implement the EPA approved plan and complete all tasks by April, 2017. This consent order replaces and supersedes the 2004 amended order.
