## Summary

On March 29, 2011 Lake County Trust Company in its capacity as trustee for Trust A878 signed a Consent for Access to Property Form, which provided authorized EPA representatives continued access to the Property to contain and dispose of oil present on the Property. With Funding provided by the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund (OSLTF), as administered by the U.S. Coast Guard, EPA has commenced removal activities at the Cline Avenue site. Analyses of samples taken from the site showed an intermediate to heavy mixture of petroleum-derived hydrocarbons. EPA and USCG have determined that additional removal actions are needed at the Cline Avenue site to mitigate the oil discharge from the site to the roadside drainage channel and the Grand Calumet River. These actions include but are not limited to: additioal sampling, operation, maintenance and replacement of the booms, collection and disposal of oil captured by the booms, measures to control stormwater flow, and the installation of a barrier wall.
