On February 18, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Omega Point Productions, LLC in Eden, Idaho. Respondent is the operator constructing the jump site to reenact and reattempt Evel Knievel�s attempted (but failed) rocket-propelled jump across the Snake River Canyon in the X-2 Skycycle forty years ago. Respondent failed to have permit coverage and necessary best management practices for preventing erosion and the discharge of sediment from disturbed areas around the ramp structure supporting the steam-powered rocket, spectator area, and roughly 18 acre parking lot. The company agreed to pay a $7,500 penalty.
