On November 14, 2014, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order that resolves violations of EPCRA 313 by East Side Plating, Inc. at its facility in Portland, Oregon. EPA alleged that East Side Plating failed to file Toxics Release Inventory reports for releases of zinc compounds, nitrate compounds and nitric acid. By failing to report, the public was denied access to timely and accurate data regarding chemical releases in the community. The company has returned to compliance and agreed to pay a $19,800 penalty.
