On December 19, 2014, Region 10 settled with CHS, Inc. doing business as Primeland Cooperative for violations of FIFRA. In 2013, CHS, Inc. produced a pesticide product at their facility located at 4384 Cavendish Highway in Kendrick, Idaho. CHS, Inc. failed to re-active the facility with the EPA as a Pesticide Producing Establishment prior to resuming production at this facility. Production of any pesticides at this facility was in violation of FIFRA Section 12(a)(2)(L) since it was not actively registered with the EPA to produce pesticides at the time of the violation. The EPA worked with CHS, Inc. to ensure all establishments that are producing pesticides are registered according to Section 7 of FIFRA. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $5,120.
