On April 1, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order (CAFO) with the U.S. Forest Service that resolves violations of the hazardous substances release reporting requirements of CERCLA at the Coeur d'Alene Nursery. The CAFO addresses violations resulting from a failure to immediately notify the National Response Center of a 1,600 pound release of anhydrous ammonia that occurred on August 11, 2013 at the facility in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The respondent agreed to pay a $15,000 penalty.
