On June 2, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order against the City of Burley, Idaho, resolving violations of the Clean Water Act. Respondent, which operates an industrial wastewater treatment plant, discharged pollutants to waters of the U.S. that exceeded its NPDES permit limits for BOD, TSS and Phosphorus. The city agreed to pay a penalty of $14,000 and has taken measures to prevent future violations.
