EPA inspected a tip/complaint alleging renovations were being performed at a pre-1978 property in Newburgh, NY not following lead-safe work practices, a violation of the Renovation, Repair & Painting (RRP) Rule. The Respondent, who was performing renovation, is a construction contractor with a business address of 675 Plattekill Ardonia Road, Wallkill, NY 12589. The Respondent performed a regulated renovation without prior EPA RRP-firm certification, and without proper worker training. EPA is seeking a monetary penalty by offer of an Expedited Settlement Agreement.
Respondent has agreed to obtain appropriate certification and modify their work practices.
