On March 19, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order that resolves violations of EPCRA 313 by Young Corporation, Meltec Division at their facility in Seattle, Washington. Region 10 alleged that Young Corporation failed to file Toxics Release Inventory reports regarding the processing of chromium, manganese and nickel over three years. By failing to report, the public was denied access to timely and accurate data regarding chemical releases in the community. The company agreed to pay a $44,700 penalty and has returned to compliance.
