On March 23, 2015, Region 1 issued an administrative complaint to the Maine Health & Environmental Testing Laboratory alleging violations of RCRA at its facility located in Augusta, Maine. Respondent is a state laboratory that performs a variety of analyses of human specimens, food, water, and hazardous materials to support federal and state regulatory programs, health care providers, and the general public. The most significant violations in the complaint are failure to conduct adequate waste determinations, treatment without a license, and failure to segregate incompatibles.
