On May 13, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order with Eielson Air Force Base, U.S. Air Force, near Moose Creek, Alaska for violations of the underground injection control regulations under the Safe Drinking Water Act. Respondent is the owner and operator of two motor vehicle waste disposal wells located at Building 1232 on the base and failed to close the wells by January 1, 2005, as required by the underground injection control rules. Respondent agreed to pay a $26,000 penalty and permanently close the wells by December 31, 2015.
