On June 19, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC in Paul, Idaho. Respondent, which operates a sugar manufacturing facility, discharged process wastewater on one day to waters of the U.S. without a NPDES process wastewater discharge permit. Respondent also had violations of the Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity (MSGP) including inadequate Stormwater Pollution Prevent Plans and inadequate best management practices.
