This is a Consent Agreement and Final Order between US EPA and the Central California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (Respondent) to settle an alleged violation under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Respondent has certified compliance with applicable AHERA regulations and consents to a civil penalty of $7,500, which under AHERA, is applied to the cost of compliance already expended by Respondent, which exceeds the assessed penalty amount.
