On March 25, 2015, EPA Region 6 issued an Expedited Settlement Agreement (ESA) under its authority pursuant to the Clean Air Act to INEOS Oxide in Plaquemine, LA. The ESA was issued in response to violations of Section 112(r)(7) of the Clean Air Act and 40 CFR Part 68-Chemical Accident Prevention Provisions. The ESA requires INEOS Oxide to pay an assessed penalty of $3,400 within 45 days of the receipt of the ESA.
