On August 5, 2015, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Leader Creek Fisheries Inc. Leader Creek Fisheries, which operates a seafood processing facility in Naknek, Alaska, violated its NPDES permit. Leader Creek Fisheries failed to adequately conduct daily visual inspections, exceeded the amount of seafood processing waste discharged, and exceeded the effluent limit for seafood processing waste residues. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $65,000.
