On June 25, 2015, Region 10 issued a compliance order on consent (COC) to the U.S. Department of Air Force for violations of the New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) and the National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs) for boilers at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The COC alleges violations of the NSPS and NESHAP performance testing, performance evaluation, and compliance demonstration requirements for new boilers and associated monitoring equipment. It also imposes a schedule for the completion of those requirements.
