On June 30, 2015, a Consent Agreement and Final Order, entered into by EPA Region III and the National Parks Service/National Capital Park-East (Respondent), was filed with the Regional Hearing Clerk settling alleged violations of RCRA UST provisions. The alleged violations, discovered as a result of a March 27, 2014 inspection of Respondent's Kenilworth Maintenance Yard facility located at 3200 Benning Road, NE in Washington, DC involved the failure to conduct annual line leak detector testing and keep records of piping release detection in connection with petroleum underground storage tank systems at the Facility. According to the CAFO, National Parks Service/National Capital Parks-East is assessed a penalty in the amount of fifteen thousand eight hundred ninety-two dollars ($15,892) for the alleged violations.
