On June 26, 2015, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Sections 1414(g) and 1445 of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to the Bicentennial Rest Area water system, owned by the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT, Respondent), for SDWA violations. The AO was issued for to failure to correct sanitary deficiencies identified during a survey by the New Mexico Environment Department within 120 days of notification.
