EPA Region 6 is issuing an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Sections 1414(g) and 1445 of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to Tyrone MDWCA(Respondent), for SDWA violations. The AO was issued in response for failure to conduct monitoring for disinfection byproducts (DBPs), a panel of contaminants that result from disinfection and are carcinogenic, and for failure to issue Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs) and Public Notices (PNs). This AO addresses violations spanning several years. The AO requires Respondent to sample in a timely manner for DBPs, issue past and current due CCRs and disclose all required PNs.
